Beginning and end of the day.
- Children may arrive at school from 8:45am, please do not send your child to school before this time as there will be no teacher on duty. Parents are asked not to wait on the playground.
- Children in Yr 5 can come into school from 8.45 through the Yr 5 doors – Evans Road end of the playground.
- If your child arrives late for some unforeseen circumstance they will need to be registered at the school office.
- At the end of the day Yr 5 leave through the Yr 5 entrance – Evans Road end.
Helpful Hints for Year 5
- Information about what we are covering each term will be on our website – please encourage your child to look regularly.
- Please label all clothing including PE kit.
- Jewellery is not allowed in school, 1 pair of stud earrings are allowed
but these must be removed for PE.
- Please check book bags daily for letters from school.
- Your child will bring home a reading book everyday. Please listen to them read and comment in the reading record. Please encourage your child to bring their book into school every day.
- Homework is set on a Wednesday and collected in on a Monday.

What you need to bring to school.
- A PE kit –maroon/purpleshorts, white T-shirt and plimsolls / trainers kept in a drawstring bag (winter months – tracksuit and sweater).
- PE kits to be left in school during term time and taken home each half term.
- A book bag for library books, homework and essential letters.
- An inhaler, if asthmatic, clearly labelled (this will be kept in the office).
- A water bottle.
- A healthy snack for break times, crisps may be brought in on Fridays.
