The Ralph Arnett Memorial Scholarship
The Ralph Arnett scholarship is open to all LHS seniors. A scholarship award committee composed of individuals specifically selected by members of the Arnett family shall have absolute authority in the designation of scholarship recipients. The committee shall base their selection upon scholarship ability, financial need and leadership ability. An applicant's cumulative grade point average for the first seven semesters of high school, plus test scores obtained from taking the ACT college entrance exam, shall be the determining factors of scholarship ability. Accurate and sincere responses by candidates on certain sections of the application will be vital in the determination of a scholarship recipient.
The designation of a scholarship recipient by the selection committee shall be final. An award letter accompanied by a check for the amount of the scholarship will be awarded during the Louisburg High School Graduation Ceremony.
The current recipient may be considered for a renewal scholarship the following year if they so desire by submitting a current completed application to the selection committee.
Dissemination of information to LouisburgHigh School seniors concerning Ralph Arnett Memorial Scholarship is the requested responsibility of the high school counselor. Application forms are available in the high school counselor's office and should be collected by the counselor, who in turn will submit the completed applications to the scholarship selection committee.
