PHC Microsite Layout Map

Using this map to plan the layout of your site will help you to organize content, determine a logical flow of information, and get the full spectrum of what you’re communicating to ensure there aren’t any gaps. Visit PHC’s Renal Program sitemap and Cystic Fibrosis sitemap for ideas on site content and see the example site map on the backside of this page for a working example of how to organize your site.

Site Name: chose a title for your website. This will appear on your homepage and is typically the name of your program, department, initiative or study, i.e., Centre for Practitioner Renewal.

Menu: the boxes below represent a typical top menu level that will drop down to reveal further options. (5-7 menu items are recommended).

Sub-menus: these boxes represent all of your supporting content and should be placed in priority, with the first page being the most important and so on.Fill or add boxes as needed (and don’t feel obligated to fill every single one - less is often more).
