PVG
It is the policy of Hearts of Beath Juniors FC and FSSDA/FFDL that all coaches must have an enhanced disclosure check carried out before they can coach your child. We have a main Player Protection Officer for the club and each team within the club also has a Player Protection Officer present at training and matches. All clubs in Fife must be registered with the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA), before they can take part.
Care & Welfare
Hearts of Beath Juniors have produced a number of policies to maintain high levels of child protection and health & safety. Insurance is in place through the SYFA. If you would like to view them, please ask a member of the club.
Coaching Qualifications
All Hearts of Beath Juniors coaches must have at least the SFA Level 1.1 Certificate, although all head coaches are expected to be qualified at Level 3 standard. We also have a Goalkeeping coach within the club.
First Aid Qualifications
It is mandatory for each team to have a least one qualified first aider and a suitable first aid kit at games and training. The first aider does not have to be a coach, but an enhanced disclosure check would be made if the first aider was a parent.
Parental Consent Forms
It is essential that parents complete the Player Registration Forms and return them ASAP, so we can keep our records updated with any medical or child protection issues. A copy will be kept with each age groups secretary and the master copy will be kept by the club secretary. Parents/Guardians should ensure that a new form is completed if there are any changes throughout the year.
Proof of Age Documents
If your child is selected to play in matches, they are required to present a photocopy of their birth certificate to confirm proof of age.
