1st Annual Building Hope Scholarship
The Building Hope Scholarship was created from t-shirt and sweatshirt registrations collected during the Family Crisis Network annual Child Abuse Awareness Walk as a way to pay forward some of the support that the residents of Pend Oreille County have provided to this event. Senior students who are graduating from the Selkirk, Cusick, Pend Oreille River, and Newport School Districts in 2018 will be eligible to apply for this $500.00 non-renewable scholarship to be used towards the four year, two year, trade, or apprenticeship program of their choosing.
Application Procedure:
Fill out Information Sheet (Page 2) of Application
Answer Essay Questions (pages 3-5) (pages 6-7 are available if you need extra space)
Attach two letters of recommendation from non-relativessuch as a teacher, mentor, employer, neighbor, pastor, etc.(if you do not have letters, please provide an explanation as to why and attach)
Submit all of the above documents one of two ways:

Recipient of the scholarship will be notified by April 13, 2018 and will be presented with a certificate on April 21, 2018 during the 8th Annual Child Abuse Awareness Walk.
Scholarship will be distributed to the designated institution on behalf of the recipient after proof of enrollment is received.
