EQ: If you could only choose a career in education, which options, based on the requirements, would be best for you?

Click “Career Exploration” tab.
Now, choose the “Georgia’s Career Clusters and Pathways” tab.
Scroll down the left to “Education and Training” and click on it.
Click on the “Teaching as a Profession pathway” link, scroll down to page 2 of the document, and answer the following questions:
- What was the annual wage of a middle school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in 2012?
- Read the “Postsecondary Transition”:
- If you plan to attend a Program of Study at one of the University Systems of Georgia institutions (college/university), which tests should you take?
- If you plan to attend a technical college in Georgia, which test should you take?
- If you plan on joining the military, which test should you take?
- What does EOPA stand for?
- How many jobs are in educational services?
- “Kindergarten, elementary and secondary school teachers in public schools must have a ______degree and must be ______[or certified].”
- Is the job outlook good for teaching? Will there be teaching jobs available when you graduate from college?
Now, return to Now click the “Career Exploration” tab. Then click on the “Research Career” tab at the top.
Click on “My Next Move” link. Look at the middle box “Browse careers by industry.” On the dropdown menu, choose “Education” and click “Browse.”
Choose THREE possible careers in education and complete the following charts.
