Reception and Year 3

Buddy Walk.

We have arranged for Reception and Year 3 to go on an autumn buddy walk on Friday 26th September weather permitting. The walk will be postponed to Friday 3rd October if it is too wet! These walks have been amazingly beneficial in the past and have developed many skills such as co-operation and team work as well as being a really good afternoon out.

We shall be looking for signs of autumn around school and the surrounding countryside of Read.

As always a full risk assessment has been carried out.

The details of our trip are as follows:-

Date of trip: / Friday 26th October 2013
or Friday 3rd October if weather is too wet.
Time: / The trip will take place within the normal school day. We shall be leaving after taking the register and returning before lunchtime.
Cost: / None
Uniform:
/ The children only need to wear school jumpers. Please wear sensible shoes, walking boots or wellington boots, not school shoes, heeled boots or ugg boots, as these are not suitable for a walk.
If it looks like rain a waterproof jacket would be a good idea.
