CANVASSING BOARD MEETING

November 9, 2010

MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Mary Wingfield; MembersJay Brunner, Jane Harper and Nino Nardecchia.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Members Barb Carson

STAFF PRESENT: City Clerk Dale Richard Powers; City Engineer Kristie Elfering, City Attorney Kevin Sandstrom

Wingfield called the Canvassing Board to order @ 6:30pm. The Canvassing Board meeting is to certify the results of the municipal elections for Mayor and City Council held on November 2, 2010. The Board reviewed Resolution 2010-11-09, a resolution certifying the results of the municipal election.

Brunner/Harper to adopt Resolution 2010-11-09. A roll call vote was taken, as follows:

CHAIR WINGFIELD:AYE

The resolution was adopted.

Nardecchia/Brunner 4-0 (Carson absent) to adjourn the meeting @6:35pm.

RESOLUTION 2010- 11-09

CITY OF BIRCHWOOD VILLAGE

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA

A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2010

BE IT RESOLVEDby the Board of Canvass for the City of Birchwood Village to accept the election returns as certified (see Exhibit) by the Election Judges for the election held in the City of Birchwood Village on November 2, 2010 and to declare Alan Mitchell elected Mayor for the two-year term ending December 31, 2012 and Mark Peterson and Tony Sampair elected Council members for the four-year term ending December 31, 2014.

The Motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was made by ______and seconded by ______. The following vote was taken:
