“LITTLE MISS SALEM COUNTY FAIR” RULES AND REGULATIONS
Ages: This contest is open to girls 6, 7, or 8 years of age (as of August 1st) who are residents of Salem County and have completed atleast one year’s requirement as an active member of the Salem County 4-H Clover buds and/or other Salem County 4-H Club.
When: Wednesday, August 9, 2017 @ 6:00pm
Where: Salem County Fairgrounds, 760 Harding Hwy (Rte. 40), Woodstown NJ 08098
Times: Pageant starts at 6:00 pm. No late arrivals. Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of start time. Pageant will be held at the Main Covered Stage. The Salem County Fairgrounds offers an amazing covered stage with plenty of seating for parents, friends, and contestants.Coaching for participants will be provided before the contest. All contestants must attend the rehearsal or they will not be eligible to compete in the pageant. Rehearsal is Sunday, August 6,2017 @ 11:00 AM.All contestants must attend the rehearsal or they will not be eligible to compete in the pageant.
Registration: Simply fill out pages 2 and 3 of this application and mail or drop it off to Jenna Johnson. If you need more space, you can add an extra sheet. You will receive notification by email, or text that your registration has been received and accepted. Upon arrival to the pageant on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, you can pick up your child’s assigned number. The girls are brought up on stage in the order of the numbers assigned.
Judging: Will consist on scoring dress, hair, accessories, overall appearance, behavior on stage, response to their question, how they did answering questions on their application, and more. This is a fun filled pageant and a great way for families to spend the day with your child and celebrate the fair. Any contestant that appears afraid may have their mom walk them out on to the stage. The stage will be decorated with flowers, plants, chairs, etc.. So bring your cameras and come out and have fun! The judges’ choice is FINAL!
Judging will be scored as follows:
Overall involvement in 4-H: 15%
Appearance: 25% (Girls should be dressed in relaxed attire, what they would love to wear.)
Question: 25%
Behavior on Stage: 20%
Resume: 15%
One winner will be chosen by the judges. We will have a Second Runner Up, First Runner Up, and Little Miss.
Prizes: A sash, crown, and trophy will be given to Second Runner up, First Runner Up, and Little Miss. “Goody bags” will be given to all contestants.
Entry Form: Must be signed and completely filled out in its entirety by Sunday, July 30, 2017. The announcer will use this information when introducing your child.
