The Ipswich Colour Dash
The Colour Dash is a 5k fun run raising money for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families across East Anglia.

Venue: Christchurch Park, Ipswich
Date: Sunday 28th May 2017
Registration: Open from 10am
Run start time: 11am
Getting There
Public rransport -Christchurch park is situated opposite the Sailmakers bus station.
Walking –Christchurch Park can be accessed by many entrances: there is one off the Fonnereau Road or Soane Street. There are also Henley Road, Bolton Lane andWesterfield Road entrances.
Car - None is available on site however there are several car parks located around the park and street parking available.
Registration
Registration opens at 10am next to Christchurch Mansion.
All runners please go straight to registration to sign in, collect your t-shirt and wristband
(please note these t-shirts are for adults only. Children must bring their own t-shirt)

Key Info
All runners must wear a white t-shirt, adults will be supplied with a t-shirt in the size they have pre-ordered. Please ensure your child comes with their own white t-shirt
Only runners, colour pirates and race officials may enter the Colour Zones
Minors must be accompanied by an adult aged over 18
Health and Safety
Free masks will be available should you have an allergy or health concern
St Johns Ambulance will be on site providing first aid
Please be mindful of any children or adults taking part in wheelchairs or pushchairs, the event is not suitable for electronic wheelchairs due to possible damage from the paint. Follow marshal instructions, for your own safety
What to wear
All adults will be given an EACH white t-shirt(if preordered). We ask that all children that are participating to please bring their own white t-shirt. Please note there are NO changing rooms or storage facilities available on site.
About the Paint
We use coloured corn flour which is non-toxic and completely bio-degradable
The powder does wash off, but some materials are harder to clean than others – so only wear things that you are happy to get dirty. Please DO NOT throw powder paint at people’s faces as it can get into their eyes and mouths
Sponsorship
You can help raise money for our hospice by asking friends and family to sponsor you. You can print the sponsorship form attached or you could set up an online sponsorship page at or . You can bring funds with you on the day. If you are going to bring funds on the day, please make sure you clearly mark your funds with your name and address
At the Event
There will be a water stations along the route and one at the end of the run. Toilets and café are available on site. Brightly coloured sunglasses/tutu’s and whistles will be available to purchase on the day from £1
In case of an emergency
Please contact one of the Colour Dash officials or marshals who are able to call for first aid, in an emergency call 999.
Spectators
Friends and family are welcome to attend. They can purchase colour to throw at the paint party
Paint Party
When you cross the finish line you will be given a free cup of paint in exchange for your ID band
At the countdown you get the chance to shower your fellow runners with the paint
The paint parties will take place between 12.15pm and 12.30pm when all are finished
