TEAAS 5.0 Release Notes

  1. The CORBA Middleware has been upgraded from Borland Visibroker 3.3/3.4 to Borland Enterprise Server Visibroker 5.1.
  2. Move the client and server code to use Java version 1.3.1.
  3. Railroad Crossing user interface has been changed to display the Highest Order Inventoried Route Characteristic of the route being displayed in a Railroad Crossing tab. Additional fields have been added to display the Rail Line and Railroad Milepost data for the Railroad Crossing Id in the Railroad Crossing tab. A Reports tab has been added to allow the user to run a Features Report, a County Report and a Strip Analysis Report. Fields have been added to enable the user to select Extended Distance, Begin and End Dates, and ADT as input to the Strip Analysis Report.
  4. County Report has been added (part of Railroad Crossing). The report shows the Railroad Crossing ID, HO Route, HO Route Begin MP, and HO Route MP for the County select in the Railroad Crossing tab. The report is sorted by Railroad Crossing ID and HO Route.
  5. A new user interface has been added for maintaining Ordinances. The enhancement provides the following functions:
  • Creation of new user roles for administrating various ordinance functions
  • Ordinance Search
  • Ordinance data entry/maintenance
  • Ordinance approval
  • Ordinance report - Certification Of Rulemaking
  • Ordinance report
  • Ordinance data conversion.
  1. Added Division and Region fields to the user maintenance screen, which were used to determine the Ordinance maintenance privileges.
  2. Strip Analysis Report has been changed to include Traffic Control Device, Traffic Control Operating, Roadway Contributing Circumstances, Road Character, and Weather Condition.
  3. Intersection Analysis Report has been changed to include Traffic Control Device, Traffic Control Operating, Roadway Contributing Circumstances, Road Character, and Weather Condition.
  4. Fiche Report has been changed to display light condition code.
  5. Municipality Administration has been added. This function will allow the Primary Data user to add a Municipality and to modify a Municipality population count in the Crash Database. Additionally, when a Municipality is added, the Feature Code and Feature Name is also added to TEAAS Database. The updates will be available to TEAAS after replication has occurred.
  6. Fix problems reading City and County Reports saved in PDF format with Acrobat PDF Reader 5.0.
  7. Move Strip Report Total Vehicle Exposure calculations to the Server Side.
  8. Fix a problem relating to the Strip Analysis Report in which crashes to coinciding routes that are mileposted in the reverse direction of the route under study do not show up.
  9. Add a disclaimer to Detailed Crash ID List.
  10. Correct Strip Analysis Report Vehicle Exposure Statistics table’s miles to kilometers conversion error.
