BMSSC Classic 2016 Rules
BMSSC is proud to host the abovementioned sanctioned match on the BMSSC Shooting Range, Bloemfontein. The following are important notes:
· Entries are to be submitted through the respective provincial secretaries and should reach Annette Rossouw () before or on 17 January 2016. A competitor may enter for a maximum of 10 events if the competitor is available for all 3 day, 6 events if available for Friday and Sat and 2 events if the competitor will only be available to shoot Saturday.
· Squadding details will be available on BMSSC web page on 25 January 2016.
· It is the responsibility of each shooter to ensure he/she receives the squadding and to report any mistakes on the squadding timeously to Annette who will do the squadding.
· The prize giving will be a “bring and braai” after all targets have be packed away after shoot outs – this should be at approximately 15h0015h30.
· The competition will be conducted in line with IMSSU and SAMSSA in-house rules.
· Eye and Ear protection are compulsory and should be worn by all at all times when shooting is about to start or in progress on the shooting line.
· A sufficienct number of refuse bins are available on the shooting range and shooting line and therefore the range should be kept need and tidy at all times.
· The championship will commence at 08h00 on Thursday and finish at 14h00 on Saturday. Please note that shooters, who miss their allocated squadding, forfeit their chance in that particular event.
· Sighting in can be done from 16h30 – 18h00 on Wednesday and every morning thereafter from 07h00 – 07h30.
· Shootouts will commence at 15h00 14h30 on Saturday.
· Competitors must be on range 30 min. before their squadded time – both A & B details. A & B details must score for each other. Shooters, who fail to do duty as a scorer, will forfeit his/her score.
· After the completion of an event make sure you take all your belongings from the shooting bay you used to allow the following shooter sufficient space for his/her equipment.
· Weapon certification will be done on an ad-hoc basis.
· Winners will be determined using reverse animal count. Only for exact ties, will there be shootouts.
· Caterers will be available on the range during the day and we ask you to support them please.
· Targets will be painted white on the one side and black on the other side.
· In order to make the target more visible it is allowed to turn the targets towards the sun or away from the sun depending on the colour of the targets, but in turning the targets no part of any foot of the target may overhangs the rail.
· Shooters are responsible for own target setting up to 100m. Big Bore Rifle/Handgun competitors will be required to assist with transport of targets setters for their respective events. A vehicle will be made available for that purpose.
· Drug testing may be conducted during any part of the competition. Any competitor, who refuses drug testing, will be disqualified from the competition.
· Protest will be handled according to IMSSU rules. The cost of lodging a protest is R200 (to be paid back in the event that the protest is successful).
· Medals and sliding bars will be awarded according to attached list. Note please: a medal will be given to participant together with the first sliding bar.
· Participation certificates will be available to all competitors in electronic format afterwards.
· Shooters who does not attend the prize giving should make special arrangements with people attending the prize giving to obtain their medals/sliding bars.
