VIRTUE: Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is a positive attitude. When you enjoy whatever you are doing, even the dullest job can be fun. Use your imagination to find ways to enjoy what you are doing. Take time for simple pleasures and enjoy the wonders of life, of God’s creation. Show enthusiasm to others by celebrating with them when something wonderful happens. Your enthusiasm shines through your smile. J

Students receive a special kit to keep track of their reading, and if they read at least 15 minutes a day or finish multiple books/chapters they’ll be awarded a special medal at the end of the summer. As you know, regular reading over the summer helps kids maintain or improve reading skills, and voluntary reading is the key to making reading habitual. In the Summer Reading Club, kids choose what material they read through the summer month. They may also participate in fun library programs, contests and activities.
