BIO SKETCH
Freda Katritzky spent over ten years as a management consultant, prior to founding Châteaux Privés in 2004. Her life as a consultant focused on supporting Fortune 500 companies with their international expansion strategies and included many business trips all over the world. Wherever possibleon these trips she also visited castles, and it was clear to her that these brief visits were a highlight of her travels, and a plan developed to create Châteaux Privés.
Freda was born in Norwich,England in 1964, schooled at NorwichHigh School, and spent many childhood holidays in Bavaria, Germany, from where her mother comes. At 15 her father transferred as Professor of Chemistry to the University of Florida moving the family to Gainesville,USAwhere she finished her schooling. After aB.A. at the University of Florida, she moved to Germany to work forIBM. In 1989 she completed an MBA at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and from there was recruited by PA Consulting to London, shortly thereaftershe founded International Business Research.
Her business travels took her to Asia, Africa, the Americas and throughoutEurope. Business trips to the South of France made her familiar with Monaco as an elegant and secure haven, highly international and a magnet for interesting people, with an appealing lifestyle and weather. In 2001 she decided to make the Principality her home and here she had the peace of mind and inspiration to develop Châteaux Privés.
Châteaux Privés combines all the elements of history, architecture, world heritage and visionary people that fascinate Freda. It aims to highlight and promote privately owned castles, palaces and estates from all over the world that can be visited, rented and enjoyed by everyone. A second business, Hermitage Estates, focuses on the sales of castles to sensitive owners.
Freda’s other interests include the great outdoors, animals, mountain walking and gourmet cuisine.
