Faculty of tourism and customs services, faculty of business and world economy, faculty of financial service, accounting-economic faculty, faculty of information technology. The institute prepares experts in 14 specialties. In the institute, there are operates 17 departments. There work 202 scientific and pedagogical personnel. From them 13 professors, 72 senior lecturers, 66 senior teachers and 51 assistants. In the Institute, there are also printing house, 380 computers from which 223 of them are connected to the Internet, electronic library, 2 reading rooms. Over 3000 students, who are trained under the bachelor, masters and doctoral programmes. The institute conducts activity in the followingareas:
- Carrying out of fundamental and practical researches in economy areas, business, tourism and others;

Project Title: / Inter -university Cooperation on the Development & implementation ofpriority directions instandardization of professional education in the area of tourism
Brief need analysis / Asaresultoftheresearchcarriedoutrecommendationswillbegivenonfurtherimprovementoftheactivityofhigher education institutions and the region on training of specialists in the area of tourism.Inparticular, measuresnowbeingundertakenontraining the specialistsontourismjointly withsupportoftouristunionsandassociationsas well as with hotel businessthat requiresnew teaching method in training specialists of tourism, namely:
- animators of special tourist and social programs (with specialization by regions);
- specialistsontour operating and exchange(on types of tourist links andinformation technologies);
- specialistsontourismandspecializedexchange(with specialization on types of mobility and exchange).
Thecontentofprofessionalactivityofthetouristprofilespecialistsleads to the needofrevisingtheeducational standards applied for training of managers, tour operators exchange technologists and tourism.
Project proposal/description: / Problems of Standardization of Professional Tourism Education should proceed from labor market demands and not only professional educational establishments themselves should paricipate in it but the consumers of the labor market as well. Hence there is a need for cooperation withhigher education institutions involved in the area of tourismand tourist enterpriseswith the aim of effective organization of training tourist specialists. Inthisconnectionitisnecessary:
-to develop methodological and scientific – practical well grounded mechanisms of priority directions of partnership of state, business community and higher educationinstitutions;
-to learn the European experience on social partnership in solvingproblems of aligningtraining of specialists in the area of tourism;
- to develop sustainable mechanisms of partnership relations with enterprises & assurance of its further development;
The Project results to be introduced in the development of Priority Directions in Solution of Standardization of Professional Tourism Education Problems, mechanisms of mutual beneficial cooperation of state, business community and higher educational establishments and also in working out recommendations on them
Besides the project will enablethe development of innovative model of sustainable social partnership in connection with ever growing demands of labor market andhigher education.
