SUMMARY

I am currently a research and teaching postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at El Paso. As part of my duties, I have designed and taught a freshman course in research foundations for students pursuing a career in biomedical science. I have also implemented a journal club designed to nurture multidisciplinary conversations among graduate students. I received my doctorate in Neuroscience. My doctoral training as provided me withtechnical experience, consulting, writing and reviewing of scientific papers for journal clubs, as well as giving annual presentations at scientific conferences. I have also acquired good interpersonal, team-building, management, and communication skills through classroom teaching, peer advising and training.
