Sub: Promotion to the cadre of SDEs – posting of promoted JTOs to other Circles – Case of

KTK, HP and UAL Circles reg:

The recent promotions from JTO to SDE cadre, except 127 JTOs posted to tenure Circles, almost all the promoted JTOs are posted in the same Circle itself as there are lot of vacancies. However in the case of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand Circles lot of promoted JTOs are posted to other Circles due to various reasons. While calculating the vacancy position, the roster data as on 01.01.2010 and the subsequent retirements upto 31.03.2011 was taken into account by BSNLCO but the vacancies arise on account of SDE to DE promotions in June and July, 2010 was not accounted.

1. In the case of KTK Circle, there are still 349 vacancies according to the intimation from CGM office, KTK Circle (Copy enclosed). 32 no JTOs are posted outside the Circle other than 9 JTOs posted to tenure Circles. Since KTK Circle is one of the few profit making Circles, the above 32 promoted JTOs may be retained in Karnataka Circle itself. The details are as given below.

2. In the case of HP Circle, there are still 31 vacancies according to the intimation from CGM office, HP Circle (Copy enclosed). 48 no JTOs are posted outside the Circle. Since most of the HP Circle area itself is a tenure area, maximum promoted JTOs may be retained in HP Circle itself. The details of the JTOs who didn’t want to modify the place of posting is also given below.

In the case of UAL Circle, there are still 31 vacancies according to the intimation from CGM office, HP Circle (Copy enclosed). 8 no JTOs are posted to tenure Circles and another 8 are transferred from other Circles and posted to UAL Circle. Since most of the UAL Circle area itself is a tenure area, all the promoted JTOs may be retained in HP Circle itself.
