CLASS TITLE:REHABILITATION TECHNICIAN - BLIND - SES
ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)
This is work assisting Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Counselors and other rehabilitation professionals providing services to eligible disabled individuals including the coordination of client activities or special projects.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

- Conducts client intake.
- Assesses client's resources.
- Implements necessary procedures to acquire or purchase medical/psychological information and arranges for the necessary medical evaluations at the direction of the VR counselor.
- Schedules client training and makes necessary appointments for treatment.
- Accompanies client when purchasing clothing, tools, equipment or attempting to obtain other similar benefits.
- Performs job placement and job development activities for clients.
- Resolves client transportation problems.
- Performs follow-up and maintains client contact through telephone calls and home visits.
- Reviews data for accuracy and completeness, performs research, records and traces documents.
- Maintains specialized records, compiles information on costs, budgets and other data for reporting purposes.
- Coordinates out-of-district services for clients.
