Literature 8 Independent Historical Reading Unit
You will be independently reading a historically themed book. You will choose from one of eight options, which are listed below. All of the books have either a Civil War or World War II theme (the time periods highlighted in your textbook). After reading the book you have chosen from the list, you will complete the attached book report form, take a multiple choice test on Moodle, and complete either a mobile or a diorama (details attached). The book report and test are each worth a 100 point test grade. The mobile/diorama is worth a 50 point test grade. You will also complete several classwork and homework assignments related to your chosen book.
You must begin bringing a copy of your book to class February 6, 2013.
The book reports are due February 25, 2013.
The mobiles/dioramas are due February 28, 2013.
The tests will be taken in the computer lab March 1, 2013.
