OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITY

The purpose of Vocational and Educational Services for Older Youth is to support the Oregon Youth Authority’s mission by providing a high-quality education to all youth in OYA facilities.

In doing this we value:

  • Standards-based individualized education / vocational.
  • Collaboration with all partners including youthserved by ODE, OYA Field Services, LEA/ESDs, and other stateand community agencies.
  • Educational services offered in a safe, secure, andhealthy environment.
  • Educational programming with youth that reducesrisk factors that contribute to recidivism.
  • Preparation for successful community living
