Literary Analysis: How Esperanza Changes Over Time

A common element of most fiction books is that the main character undergoes a metamorphosis, or change, from the beginning of the story to the end.

In the book Esperanza Rising, written by Pam Munoz Ryan, the main character, Esperanza, changes from the beginning of the book to the end of the book.
