/ Movie Makeris a software that allows you to create and edit videos. This program is manufactured by Microsoft Windows and is available for free. Movie Maker is non-linear editing software, which means that the original file that was placed on your hard drive will not be modified in any way. / Practice in Movie Maker 2.6

Playing a movie / You can play the movie in the preview monitor, on the left side of the window. Take closer look at the preview monitor bellow
Adding a title / Remember that you can create videos at the beginning, before the selected clip, after the selected clip, in the clip selected or at the end of the video.
Click the Title button on the ribbon. Live Movie Maker will change and resemble the illustrationbelow.
Customize the title using the text tools. / You will notice that the text tools are very similar to those available in other Microsoft Office programs, such as Word. The primary difference is that you now have the option of setting the Starting time and Duration of the text. The start time controls how soon the text appears, and the duration specifies how long it remains on thescreen.
You can also apply any one of several different effects to your title. The illustration below shows some of the effects that areavailable.
To change the color in the background click on Background color
You do not have to apply and modify effects manually. With Windows Movie Maker you can command the format a video foryou.
Click the Home tab. In the AutoMovie themes section of the ribbon you will find several themes that you can apply to yourmovie.

Add Pictures or videos / You can click the Add Videos and Photos on the ribbon. Both options are circled in the illustrationbelow.
Navigate to the video, or videos, you wish to use. Select the video, then click OK. You can add several video clips if youwish.
NOTE: Windows Live Movie Maker is capable of working with many different video file types including WMV, MOD, MOV, MP2, and many more. It will not work with Flash FLV orSWF.
You video will now be available for editing. An example is shownbelow.
You can add effects, sound, and more. However, most people prefer to edit the video first and then addenhancements.
Addmusic / Adding music is often the next logicalstep.
The Add music button on the ribbon is a two-part button. If you click the top part the Add Music panel willappear.
If you click the bottom half you will be given two choices. The Add music option will add music starting at the beginning of the video, the Add music at the current point choice allows you to add music at the playhead’sposition.
Click the Add music button, navigate to the music that you want to use, then click OK. The music will be added as a new track on the timeline.
AddingAnimations / On the Animations tab you can animate the photos and videos, only click on it then click on the animation, you can also use the option Apply to all.
With Animations you can apply the effect that is shown when your movie plays from one video clip or picture to the next.
AddingVisual Effects / On the Visual Effects tab you can apply effects the photos and videos, like Black and white or sepia, you can also use the option Apply to all.
Savingtheproject / To save the project use the option File/Save project as…. If you want to make a change you have to open this file first.
Saving the movie, Video Files / To save the movie use the option File/Save movie , then click on the option according to the project: For High definition display, For a computer, for email, Phone and device settings.
