1 The Beginning of The Good Message of Jesus The Anointed [The Son of God] .

2 According to the way it has been written in The (Book) of Isaiah The Prophet ,

“Behold , I am Sending My Messenger , before Your Face , Who will Prepare The Way for You .
Idou apostellw mou ton aggelon pro sou proswpou , oV kataskeuasei thn odon sou :
3 The Voice of one crying out in the wilderness :
fwnh bowntoV en tw erhmw ,
Make Ready The Road of The Lord , make the beaten tracks , straight !”
Etoimasate thn odon autou kuriou , poieite taV tribouV euqeiaV ,
4 (And so) John came , Baptizing in the desolate region ,
IwannhV egeneto baptizwn en th erhmw
and Heralding The Baptism of The Transposing of the Mind to let go of missing The Mark .
kai khrisswn baptisma metanoiaV eiV afesin amartiwn .
5 And the whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him .
kai h pasa Ioudaia cora kai panteV oi Ierosolumitai exporeueto proV auton ,
confessing their errors , and were baptized by him in The Jordan River .

6 And John was wrapped in a camel’s hair garment and bound by a leather belt around his waist ,
kai o IwannhV hn endedumenoV kamhlou tricaV kai peri dermatinhn zwnhn autou thn osfun
and ate locusts and wild honey .
kai esqiwn akridaV kai agrion meli .
7And Heralding he said : “One more Powerful than I comes after me ,
kai ekhrrussen legwn o iscuroteroV mou Ercetai opisw mou ,
of which the thongs of His sandals I am not worthy to stoop down to untie .
ou ton imanta autou twn upodhmatwn eimi ouk ikanoV kuyaV lusai .
8 I Baptize you in water , but He will Baptize you in The Holy Spirit .”

9 In those days , it came to pass that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized

by John in The Jordan .

10 and suddenly ascending out of The Water ,
kai euquV anabainwn ek tou udatoV
He Saw Heaven being Parted and The Spirit descending on Him like a Dove .

11 And a Voice came from The Heavens :
kai fwnh egene ek twn ouranwn
“You are My Son , The Well-Disposed ; in You I am Well-Pleased .”

12 And at once , The Spirit cast Him out into the wilderness ,

13 and was in the desert forty days , being tempted by Satan ,

and while He was with the wild animals , The Angels also reached down to Him .

14 Then , after John was imprisoned ,
de Meta ton Iwannhn to paradoqhnai
Jesus went into Galilee Proclaiming The Good Message from God .
o IhsouV hlqen eiV thn Galilaian khrusswn to euaggelion tou qeou
15 and saying that :

“It has been Fulfilled
Peplhrwtai
and The Right Time of The Kingdom of God has come to pass :
kai o kairoV h basileia tou qeou hggiken[eggizw] :
You must Turn your Attention Around[pres.act] and Trust[pres.act] in The Good Message .”

16 And as He was walking along by the Sea of Galilee He saw Simon and the brother of Simon ,
Kai paragwn para thn qalassan thV GalilaiaV eiden Simwna kai ton adelfou SimwnoV
Andrew casting a net in the sea ; for they were fishermen .
Andrean amfiballontaV en th qalassh : gar hsan alieiV .
17And Jesus said to them “Come , Follow Me , and I will make you to become fishers of men”.
kai o IhsouV eipen autoiV Deute opisw mou , kai poihsw umaV genesqai alieiV anqrwpwn .
18 And at once they left their nets , following Him .
kai euquV afenteV ta diktua hkolouqhsan autw .
19 And advancing a little further , He saw James son of Zebedee and his brother , John ;
Kai probaV oligon eiden ton Iakwbon tou autou Zebedaiou kai ton adelfon Iwannhn
and they too were in their boat , mending their nets .
kai autouV en tw ploiw katartizontaV ta diktua ,
20 And He immediately summoned them . And leaving their father Zebedee in the boat
kai euquV ekalesen autouV . kai afenteV autwn ton patera Zebedaion en tw ploiw
with the hired workmen , they departed to follow after him .

21 And He Lead them into Capernaum ; and as soon as The Days of The Sabbath arrived
Kai eisporeuontai eiV Kafarnaoum : kai euquV toiV sabbasin eiselqwn
He went to the synagogue [the place of the gathering together] to teach .
eiV thn sunagwghn edidasken .
22 And they were Filled-Full from His Lessons , for His Lessons Possessed an Abundance of Resources ,
kai exeplhssonto epi autou th didach : gar autouV didaskwn ecwn wV exousian
and were not as those of the scribes .
kai hn ouc wV oi grammateiV .
23 And all of a sudden , there was a man possessed by an unclean spirit , in their synagogue , and shouted
kai euquV hn anqrwpoV en akaqartw pneumati en autwn th sunagwgh kai anekraxen
24 saying , “And What do you want with us , Jesus of Nazareth ? Have you come to destroy us ;
legwn kai Ti soi hmin Ihsou Nazarhne ; hlqeV apolesai hmaV ;
I know who You are : You are The Holy One of God.”

26 And Commanding him Jesus said . “Be thou silenced and come out of him .”
kai epetimhsen autw o IhsouV legwn , fimwqhti kai exelqe ex autou .
27 and the unclean spirit convulsing him and crying with a great cry came out of him .
kai to akaqarton to pneuma sparaxan auton kai fwnhsan megalh fwnh exelqen ex autou .
And everyone was amazed and so that they examined each other asking ,
kai apanteV eqambhqhsan wste suzhtein proV eautoV legontaV ,
“What is This ? He Teaches in a new way according to an Abundance of Resources ;
Ti estin touto ; didach kainh kat’ exousian :
and even Gives Orders to unclean spirits , and they obey Him”.
kai epitassei toiV akaqartoiV toiV pneumasi , kai upakouousin autw .
28 And His reputation immediately spread everywhere throughout the whole Galilean countryside .
kai autou h akoh euquV exelqen pantacou eiV olhn thV GalilaiaV pericwron .
29 And immediately upon leaving the synagogue , he went with James and John to the house
kai euquV ek exelqonteV thV sunagwghV hlqon meta Iakwbou kai Iwannou eiV thn oikian
of Simon and Andrew.

30 Now Simon’s mother-in-law was laid-out in bed having a fever ,
de SimwnoV h penqera katekei to puressousa ,
and straightway they told him about her .
kai euquV legousin autw peri authV .
31 He went ahead , took-hold of and lead her by the hand ;
proselqwn krathsaV kai hgeiren authn thV ceiroV :
And the fever left her , and she began to minister to them .
kai o puretoV afhken authn , kai dihkonei autoiV .
32 Then that evening when the sun set , they brought to him all that were sick
de genomenhV OyiaV ote o hlioV edu , eferon proV auton pantaV touV kakwV
and those that were possessed by spirits ;
kai touV econtaV daimonizomenouV :
33 so that the whole town was gathered around the door .
kai h olh poliV hn episunhgmenh proV thn quran .
34 And He cured many of the sickly who had various diseases , and He cast out many spirits ,
kai eqerapeusen pollouV kakwV econtaV poikilaiV nosoiV kai exebalen polla daimonia
but He would not permit the spirits to say , that they had “knew” Him .
kai ouk hfien[afihmi] ta daimonia lalein , oti hdeisan auton .
35 And in the early hours , much into the night , rising up to go out ,
kai prwi lian ennuca anastaV exhlqen
and He departed to a desolate place and there He Prayed .
kai aphlqen eiV erhmon topon kakei proshuceto [proseucomai].
36 And Simon and his companions set out in search for Him ,
kai Simwn kai autou oi met’ katediwxen auton ,
37 and finding Him they said that , “Everyone is looking for you .”
kai euron auton kai legousin autw oti PanteV zhtousin se .
38 And He responded to them , “Let us go elsewhere , keeping to the country villages ,
kai legei autoiV Agwmen allacou ecomenaV eiV taV kwmopoleiV ,
in order that I can Herald there also ; because for This I came forth”. ina khruxw ekei kai : gar eiV touto exhlqon.
39 And He went Heralding in their synagogues throughout the whole of Galilee and casting out spirits .
kai hlqen khrusswn eiV taV autwn sunagwgaV eiV thn olhn Galilaian kai ekballwn ta daimonia.
40 And a leper came to Him pleading to Him and on his knees and said to Him that
Kai leproV ercetai proV auton parakalwn auton kai gonupetwn kai legwn autw oti
“If You so Desire , You Have The Power To Purify me .”
Ean qelhV dunasai kaqarisai me .
41 And Having Compassion , He stretched out his hand to touch him and said to him ,
kai splagcnisqeiV ekteinaV thn ceira hyato autou kai legei autw ,
“I so Desire . Be Purified .” and immediately the leprosy left from him , and he was cleansed .

43 And being deeply moved by him , immediately , sent him forth ,
kai embrimhsamenoV autw euquV exebalen auton
44 and He said to him “See to it that you say nothing to anyone , but surrender , showing yourself
kai legei autw Ora eiphV mhden mhdeni alla upage deixon seauton
to the priest and make the offering for your purification which Moses prescribed ,
tw ierei kai prosenegke peri tou kaqarismou a MwushV prosetaxen
as evidence to them .”

45 He went away , but on the other hand , began to Herald and to spread abroad The Word to all ,
o exelqwn de [arcw]hrxato khrussein kai diafhmizein ton logon polla
so that He could not any longer openly go into town , but had to stay outside in regions which
wste auton dunasqai mhketi fanerwV eiselqein eiV polin , all exw ep topoiV hn
were desolate ; yet , from all around they would come to Him .

Chapter 2
1 And entering again into Capernaum some time later , word went around about what house He was in ;
Kai eiselqwn palin eiV Kafarnaoum di’ hmerwn hkousqh oti oikw estin en .
2 and many people collected so that there was not any space left , not even in front of the door ,
kai polloi sunhcqhsan wste mhketi cwrein mhde ta proV thn quran ,
and He was telling The Word to them .
kai elalei ton logon autoiV .
3 Then they came bringing to Him a paralytic being carried by four .
kai ercontai feronteV proV auton paralutikon airomenon upo tessarwn .
4 But being unable to get the man to him because of the mass , they removed the roof where He was ,
kai mh dunamenoi prosenegkai autw dia ton oclon apestegasan thn steghn opou hn ,
and having dug-out an opening , they lowered the stretcher on which the paralytic lay .
kai exoruxanteV calwsi ton krabatton opou o paralutikoV katekeito .
5 And seeing their Trust , Jesus said to the paralytic ,
kai idwn thn autwn pistin o IhsouV legei tw paralutikw ,
“Child , you are Released from being prone to keep missing The Mark .”

6 But there were some scribes sitting there , and they thought in their hearts ,
de hsan tineV twn grammatewn kaqhmenoi ekei kai dialogizomenoi en autwn taiV kardiaiV ,
