-Twoletters of support, sent separately
-Letter of endorsement by the hosting Institution and group, stating their willingness to host the research project and provide support needed for carrying out the activity. A short description (max 2000 char.) of the research environment (group composition and experience, main activities, equipment if applicable) shall be enclosed.

GUIDELINES
The Virgo EGO Scientific Forum (VESF) was founded in 2004 with the purpose to enlarge the research community and to further develop the scientific knowledge around the Virgo Collaboration, by providing individual participants and institutions interested with scientific opportunities of stimulating research, publications, and all other scientific activities.
Types of Applications
Applications will be accepted for fellowships at a doctoral or post-doctoral level to provide funding of € 30,000 per year for two years.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a MSc. or Ph.D. degree when fruition of the fellowship begins. There are no restrictions based on nationality, but only one application will be considered from each sponsoring institution.
Candidates must be committed to the purpose of the VESF, devote 100% of their time to the project during the duration of their fellowship and must have a sponsoring institution which can provide adequate support for the proposed project.
Selection Committee
Applications will be reviewed by the VESF Executive Board.
The decisions of the Board are final and not subject to appeal.
Applications procedures
All applications must be typed, single spaced, 12pt font size, in English and must follow the format of the present application form.
The deadline for application is 30/06/2015.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Award announcements will be made by e-mail.
Other conditions
Fruition of the fellowship must begin by Dec 31st 2015 at the latest and preferably in the fall of 2015.
The award is to be used solely for research as described in the proposal. Significant deviations from research findings must be approved by the VESF Executive Board.
Payment will be made to the responsible financial officer of the hosting institution.
All publications resulting from the research work must include a statement such as the following:“This research was funded (in part) by a grant from EGO through the program of the Virgo EGO Scientific Forum (VESF)”.
Fellows must submit a final report at the end of the project, describing theirresults. Copies of publications which have resulted from the work should also be provided.
Fellows also expected to present their work at VESF Council Meetings
(travel expenses related to attendance will be supported by the VESF).
