Come hear about 'The Journey to the New Mercedes-Benz Stadium'

August 14, 2017 (Newnan, GA) — Danny Branch, chief information officer for the Atlanta Falcons, will be in Newnan onTuesday, August 29, 2017 to speak at the NuLink Early Bird Forum sponsored by the Newnan-Coweta Chamber. He will speak on “The Journey to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.”
Branch is beginning his 13th year as chief information officer for AMB Sports & Entertainment and boasts more than 30 years of experience in systems development, deployment and support. As vice president of IT operations, he is responsible for all information technology–related activities for the Falcons and all other enterprises in the Blank Family of Businesses. Highlights from Branch’s tenure at AMBSE include leading the creation and launch of the Atlanta Falcons’ first official mobile app, Falcons Mobile, directing the launch of the Falcons’ first retail operations and Team Store, and leading the creation and launch of the official e-commerce site for the PGA TOUR Superstore.
Branch joined the Falcons in 2004 from The Home Depot, where he most recently was vice president of information services. Starting at The Home Depot in 1990 as a senior systems engineer, he was promoted rapidly through the engineering and information services management ranks. While at The Home Depot, Branch partnered with NCR to be the first home improvement retailer to implement and deploy self-checkout. He also developed and deployed Home Depot’s current gift card program, which replaced their previous paper-based gift certificate program.
Prior to joining The Home Depot, Branch worked in programming, engineering and project management roles for CONTEL, Management Science America and Texas Instruments. Branch earned his associate degree in Mathematics from Abraham Baldwin Junior College (Tifton, Ga.). He received his bachelor of science degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and completed an advanced leadership development program at the Babson School of Executive Education (Babson Park, Mass.). Branch is active in the community and is a strong supporter of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
Branch and his wife, Claire, live in Senoia with their daughter Chloe, 23, and son Alex, 20.
