The SB Butler PTO warmly welcomes you to the 2013-2014 school year. We know that the amazing staff is ready to give our children a wonderfully rewarding experience…. and YOU can further help make that a reality! Research is clear that involved parents make for more successful students. The SBB PTO is a GREAT way to be involved! Our purpose is “to facilitate, enhance and support communications between parents and teachers and promote academic achievement and social growth of SBB children.” We will achieve this through some wonderful programs funded through PTO activities. YOUR involvement is key to this success!

Our first event of the new year is the SB Butler Family Picnic on Tuesday September 10th at 5pm. Would you like to help with this very fun event? Let us know on the membership form. While you are at the picnic, reconnecting with old friends and making a lot of new ones, stop by the PTO information table. We invite and welcome new ideas and fresh takes on old programs. Be involved – your children will thank you!

2013-2014 SB Butler School StudentDirectory

The SB Butler School Student Directory is printed at the beginning of each new school year. It will come in handy throughout the school year as you try to set up play dates for your children, send out birthday invitations or call friends for homework assignments.

Please fill out one form per family regardless of your choice to be included in the directory or not. We strive for 100% return so we know that no one is forgotten. We ask for a $1.00 donation per directory. Please return form in an envelope marked “SBB/PTO Directory” along with your payment (cash or make checks payable to SBB PTO) by September 20, 2013. If you have questions, please contact Christina Connell at 860-245-5409.

S. B. Butler PTO Meetings

Please join us in building a strong school community!

In order to accommodate everyone’s changing schedules, meetings will be held on alternating Tuesday & Wednesday evenings, the 3rd week of the month, in the S.B. Butler Media Center. We understand that everyone has busy schedules (we sure do!) and your time is very valuable, so we are committed to meetings lasting no more than 1 hour. There will be babysitters at every meeting – you can participate and your kids can have a blast!
