Boys 50/70 League 11 thru 13 Years Old

Germantown: Kercher Park

A ball that goes under, through or becomes lodged in any fence shall be judged by the umpires to be “dead ball”. Base advancement awards if applicable per Little League Rules.

Any ball that enters the dug out shall be deemed a “dead ball”.

Foul lines if not painted into the outfield grass, will be extended via an imaginary line. The plate umpire has sole judgment relative to fair/foul calls.

All Managers, Coaches and Players must remain in the dug out area at all times unless Pitching or assisting in the field, as to not interfere with game play.

West Carrollton/Moraine: Joe Weidner Field

The field is entirely enclosed. All gates are to be kept closed while the ball is in play.

Individuals occupying the announcer’s booth shall not interfere with play in any manner.

Foul lines if not painted into the outfield grass, will be extended via an imaginary line. The plate umpire has sole judgment relative to fair/foul calls.

The outfield fence (weidner) has a fence that overlaps, if the ball goes between these gaps it will be ruled a ground rule double.

Boys 50/70 League 11 thru 13 Years Old

The league’s purpose is to provide a safe and fun environment where the participants can learn the basics of playing the sport of baseball. The following rules will apply. If a situation arises that is not covered it will be handled at the discretion of the members of the current VVBASE Little League board.

Bases at 70 feet.

Pitching Rubber at 50 feet.

Strict 2 hour time limit is enforced. There will only be 1 minute allowed between innings. The new inning starts after the 3rd out has been made in the last inning. If time expires during an inning, that inning will be completed. Expedite play whenever possible.

Game time is forfeit time. Umpire may use discretion in unique situations.

The team may field up to 9 players,( minimum of 8 players) consisting of the normal 6 infield positions and 3 outfield positions. Late players will be inserted at the end of the lineup. Each player will play at least three innings of defense.

Players that are on the roster of a team in a lower division may be brought up to fill vacant positions. This must not interfere with the scheduling of the players primary team. These players must play in the outfield only.

Round-Robin batting order. Teams will bat an equal number of batters each inning.

Re-entry rule is allowable for all positions except the pitcher’s position.

Pitch count must follow Little League rules.

ALL Catchers must wear catcher’s mask, chest protector, shin guards and protective cup.

No per inning run rule, a 10 Run rule is in effect after 4 or 3 ½ innings.

Managers/coaches may not warm up pitchers between innings, either on the field or in the bull pen area.

Any batter that throws his/her bat will be called out by the umpire once the proper warning has been issued to both teams. This will be sole judgment of the umpire whether or not the bat is thrown.

Leading off is permitted. So are pick off plays.

Infield fly rule applies.

Dropped third strike rule applies.

Basically all baseball rules apply to this league.

Balks will be called at the start of the season but not enforced. Towards the end of the season balks will be enforced.

We are opening up the strike zone this year. The goal is to get the players to swing the bat and not look for walks. Figure 1-2 balls width left, right, top and bottom. We may tighten this as the season progresses.

Players must wear a helmet at all times while hitting or on base.

Two adult coaches may be used as long as there is an adult in the dugout.

Umpires decision is final.

No metal spikes, No use of foul language.

No Smoking or chewing of tobacco products in or around the field.
