Agreement of a reciprocal student scholarship programme betweenthe Department for Education and ChildDevelopment,Marryatville High School and Warabi High School (Japan).
A scholarship is offered to a Year 9 or 10 student of Japanese to attend and study at Warabi High School in Japan for up to three months. This scholarship is open to any student who is currently studying Japanese (and will continue to study Japanese in 2015) at Marryatville High School and is a permanent resident of Australia.
Warabi High School offers one student from Marryatville High School:
- Tuition Fees at Warabi High School for up to three months during Term 4, 2014
- Accommodation Fees
- One hundred thousand yen as a subsidy for return airfares. (approx $1,000.00)
The above will be based on a reciprocal arrangement ie: Marryatville High School has offered:
- Tuition Fees at Marryatville High School for up to three months at a mutually agreed time during Term 3, 2014
- Accommodation Fees
For a student from Marryatville High School to apply for this scholarship the understanding would be that the student from Warabi High School will receive free homestay facilities in the home of the successful Marryatville High School candidate (and vice versa).
Condition:
The successful candidate will host the Warabi student who attends Marryatville High School for a period of up to three months.
