Dear Mr Williams
Freedom of Information Request
Thank you for your request for your FOI request received by the Council on the 23rdFebruary 2015. In your request, you asked for the following information:
In relation to DP/2440/HR - Thomas Jacomb Place, E17 6GR which is a request for planning permission for a gate on the estate I would like to request the following information.
1. How many people have objected to this and each reason for the objection.
2. How many people from Caley Court have objected and each reason 3. How many people who are not from Caley Court or Thomas Jacomb Place have objected and their reasons.
In response:
Representations from Residents
We have received notifications objecting to the proposed development and also in support of the proposal; as follows;
Objections to the application
1 Councillor Objection – Cllr Coghill
3 letter of objection received and 13 petitions signed; the objections point out the following;
• Residents of Caley Court need access to the rear of the site, as bins and gas meter boxes are located at the rear. Entry into Caley Court is off the main road fronting Erskine Road, therefore the new gates would completely isolate the residents from access to the rear,
•The green space and playground are located at the rear and this new gate provision will prevent access to those facilities,
•The new gates will completely isolate residents of Caley Court and create a gated community,
In support for the application
1 letter of support received pointing out the following;
•Security issues,
•Anti-social behaviour issues,
No other objections received other than residents from Cayley Court and Thomas Jacomb Place
If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
