The Boys Lacrosse Program had a great season this year with several milestones.

The Varsity Record is 15 wins and 5 losses. This is the best record in the 10-year lacrosse program history. According to Laxpower.com, the program is currently ranked 35th out of 206 public school programs in the state, again the highest ranking ever achieved for Del Val Boys Lacrosse. The Varsity Team made it into the final round of the Group 1 South State finals, but unfortunately lost to Bernards High School with a score of 8 – 7. Varsity Player Joe Donnelly ended the season leading the State in the number of assists. JV's record was 8 wins and 4 losses. The Freshman Team record ended with 3 wins and 8 losses. The Boys Lacrosse held a fundraising event on Monday May 16th at Quaker Steak and Lube in Pohatcong. The coaches, several players, former players, families and friends came out to the restaurant that evening. The restaurant donated 10% of the dining proceeds to the Boys Lacrosse Program and we await a check for $278 from the restaurant. Other events held this month included a pasta dinner for the players and coaches on May 17 before our first state playoff game and a tailgate party for the players, coaches and family on May 20 after our last home game.

Special player awards given out at the June 9 Varsity Sports awards included Brad Apgar as Defenseman of the Year, Matt Donnelly as Most Improved Player and Joe Donnelly as MVP. The Boys Lacrosse Banquet is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 15 at 6:30 in the school cafeteria.
