The Appalachian Festival of Young Voices is a 4-day experience that immerses children’s choruses into West Virginia’s rich Appalachian music and culture. The festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend each year. Children perform with festival clinician Dr. Rollo Dilworth, visit Charleston’s unique Vandalia Gathering, hear Appalachian tales and square dance—a culmination of activities that will leave their hearts filled with a deep appreciation for the music and culture of the Appalachian Mountains.

The Children of the World in Harmony Festival will be presented in the Little Traverse Bay area of Northern Michigan from July 28 to August 2, 2009. Choirs and dance ensembles from Mongolia, China, Mexico, Kenya, the United States, Canada, Czech Republic, and Vietnam will be represented. Additionally, the Voices Without Borders Festival Choir will be formed. This 75-voice choir brings together young singers to share the joy of singing and to promote peace and understanding through music.

Children in Harmony Choral Festival is recognized as one of the finest children’s choral festival both nationally and internationally. Besides rehearsals, there is sightseeing and special events. Choirs perform in the metroplex independently including performances at a Rodeo, at Six Flags Over Texas and at a local Sunday Church service. Choir members are housed in homestays. The final Concert is held in the state-of-the-art Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth.
