DIRECTORS MONTHLY MEETING AUGUST – 2012

MINUTES OF THE 180TH BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING FOR THE TOWN OF CALUMET FIRE DEPARTMENT HELD AT THE FIREHOUSE ON

AUGUST 21ST, 2012

The meeting was called to order by president Bob Schmitz at 7:45pm with 5 directors present; Bob Schmitz, Travis Abler, Eric Ritchie, Dan Kuhl, and Jason Freund. Non-directors present were Keith Lefeber and Ken Haensgen.

The minutes of the July Directors’ meeting were read. Dan Kuhl made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Travis Abler, motion carried. The minutes of the August monthly meeting were read.

The treasurer’s report was given by Ken Haensgen:

Business Accounts

Income: $2,245.93

Expenses: $12,098.77

General Fund: $41,621.53

Contingency Fund: $19,462.20

Total: $61,083.73

Membership Account

Income: $2,157.12

Expenses $2,547.95

Acct. Balance $13,824.02

Eric Ritchie made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as read, seconded by Travis Abler, motion carried. Eric Ritchie made a motion to approve all present bills, seconded by Travis Abler, motion carried.

PRESIDENTS REPORT BY: Bob Schmitz

Old Business:

·  The board recently had a meeting with the Town of Taycheedah. There was a verbal agreement that there will be a 0% increase on next year’s budget.

·  We are still waiting for some pagers to be turned in by some inactive members. A letter will be sent to them for now.

New Business:

·  Capone’s is interested in supplying our frozen pizzas for us. They will be getting us a price for this.

·  Vorpahl recently serviced our fire extinguishers, but we are no longer using there services. They will be talked to about this.

·  Next years budget was discussed. We will be getting any ideas together of things that are needed for next year.

·  Jason Freund and anyone else available will be meeting with Tom from Maximillion’s to discuss the options for The Alley Cats show to be held there on November 2nd.

CHIEFS REPORT BY: Keith Lefeber

·  The repeater in the van is still not working. Jeff Licktenwald will come down and look into plan C for the repeater.

·  The pump on 356 has been gone through. Only the packing and seals had to be replaced.

Being no further business Travis Abler made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Eric Ritchie, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:20pm.
