Presentation
Directions: You have been assigned to one of the three different economic systems
(traditional, market, command). You and your group are to prepare a presentation using any means of expression (role play, newscast, drama, comedy) in a video or animation. All group members must participate (please list their roles). Be creative and have fun. This is your chance to show off your artistic economic side.
Your Group will be responsible for illustrating information about its economic system,
#1 How are the basic economic questions answered in that economy?
a. What goods and services should be produced?
b. How should the goods be produced?
c. For whom should the goods be produced?
Some textbooks refer to these economic questions:
1. What goods and services and how much of each should be produced?
2. Who should produce them?
3. How should they be produced?
4. Who should share in their use?
#2 What are the advantages and disadvantages of that economy?
#3 Give examples of countries in the world that practice or have used that economic system.
This assignment will be presented on ______To prepare for this project you will have some time in class ______to begin your preparation. This will be the only time alotted in class to work in class as a group, use your time wisely.
PROJECT MENU:
- Public Service Announcement: 90 seconds, exactly, in length. Be sure to include costumes and other visuals.
- Animation: No longer than 3 minute in length. Watch your time on this…could take some time to edit and put together.
- Documentary (a la history channel): 7-10minutes Be sure to include costumes and other visuals.
- Live production: A skit or newscast of some sort. You need costumes for this. No longer than 10 minutes.
- Trailer: Complete a dramatic trailer for a movie (that doesn’t exist). Costumes required.
- Movie Theme: Comedy, Drama, Romance, you name it. It’s a film short 3-10 minutes that describes your Economic System.
- Music Video: Go ahead and use another song and change the lyrics but….you need a costume and a story for this too!
