Development accreditation course information and registration form
The Development Coaching Course is a one-day course progressing from the Foundation Coaching Course. It is designed for coaches who are coaching at Club/Association/Region & State League level.
The Course is available only to affiliated Netball WA coaches. Netball WA affiliated coaches are covered by insurance when participating in Netball WA sanctioned competitions (including Association fixtures). If you are not affiliated to Netball WA please do so through your club. If you are a coach from a Recreation Centre, Community Group or School that does not play in a competition at an affiliated Netball WA Association then please contact Jo Smith at Netball WA on 9380 3700.

Enrolment Pre-requisites
- Completion of a Netball Australia Foundation Coaching Course (or Level 1 Bronze 2007 & prior)
- Current Section 1 Umpire Theory Examination pass (70% or above)
- Coaches must have had at least 1 year/season coaching experience after completion of the Netball Australia Foundation Coaching Course
- Australian Sports Commission, Beginning Coaching Manual (Fourth Edition) (from Foundation Coaching Course). If you are a level 1 Bronze Coach 2007 or prior you will need to purchase the Beginning Coaching Manual from Netball WA.
Each participant to receive
- Netball Australia Development Coaching Manual & DVD
- Netball Australia Development Coaching Course Participant Workbook.
Each participant should bring
- Australian Sports Commission, Beginning Coaching Manual (Fourth Edition)
- Writing material
- Suitable training attire & footwear for practical activity sessions
- Sun protection, sunscreen and hat
- Water bottle and adequate refreshments.
Payments, Refund & Transfer Policy
Payment must accompany registration. Please note Netball WA will be enforcing Netball Australia National Policy and Assessment Guidelines in relation to refunds of course enrolment fees, as follows:
- Notification of withdrawal in writing up to 30 days prior to commencement of the course – Full refund.
- Notification of withdrawal in writing up to 14 days prior to commencement of the course – 50% refund.
- Notification of withdrawal in writing less than 14 days prior to commencement of the course – No refund.
In the event of a participant wishing to transfer to another course, a 30% admin fee will apply. Netball WA Coach Development Officer must approve all transfers and formal enrolment must be completed for the preferred course. Please note that transfers will only be approved if requested prior to the course date, and only transfers in to a course in the same calendar year will be processed.
