Peter/Lydia Selee bought land from Amos/Eunice Hutchinson about a mile north of Peru. There were possibly two Amos men but I am not certain. I have found tw o Amos men in Indiana, 1850 Census, I believe. Amos/Ann were in Jefferson Co. I believe and another Amos was in Dekalb Co.; both in Indiana. I have not been able to find out about the Dekalb Co. Amos. I have a person looking into the Br own connection in Jefferson Co. I have also been in contact with Roger Stites whose ancestors married into the Hutchinson line. Anyway Peter Selee and wife L ydia are buried in Mt. 70Census Mortality Schedule: Peru 70Census Mortality Schedule; Peru Precinct, Nemaha County, Nebraska "When Lydia Hutchinson Selee died, her husband, Peter Selee gave Amos Hutchinson as her father and Ann Brown as her mother. There was an Anne H utchinson found in the Nebraska Mortality Schedule, who died in 1869; this woma n is probably Lydia Hutchinson's mother. In 1977, Mary Faith Karr Jnettemeyer g ave the name Cynthia as the mother of Lydia Hutchinson. There was a Cynthia who was a witness at Lydia Hutchinson's wedding. The death record of Lydia Hutchin son Selee gives the name Ann Brown and a Nebraska death for Ann Hutchinson was found. So, using this information leads to the speculative conclusion that her name was Cynthia Anne Brown Hutchinson but that she was known as Anne. Witness es at the wedding of Peter Selee and Lydia Hutchinson were Amos Hutchinson, fat her or brother, and Cynthia Hutchinson, who could be her sister, sister-in-law, or aunt. The death certificate for Lydia Hutchinson Selee gives a father, Amos Hutchinson and a mother, Ann Brown. According to it, Amos Hutchinson was born in Ohio and Ann Brown Hutchinson was born in Indiana. This information was pro vided by Peter Selee at the time of Lydia's death. Later, in Nebraska, an elder ly Amos and Eunice Hutchinson sold land to Peter/Anna Selee north of Peru.
