JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Services / SeniorBusinessAnalystrequiredtoprovideBusinessAnalysisservicesfor analysis and design of information management platforms, and includes;
  • Full analysis (IT Systems analyst) and documentation of Information Management platforms requiringtechnologyupgrade, consolidation, or change. (Options/recommendationspaperpresented)
  • Full analysis (Business process analysis) and documentation of information management needs, methods, and workflows, analysis of automation and streamlining, and/or integrating information management systems. Evaluation for the purpose of improving the functionality and organisational benefits of information management systems (Options/recommendationspaperpresented)
  • Analyse and document user and business requirements (Functional and non-functional)
  • Develop epics, and user stories including acceptance criteria (including traceability matrix – track lifecycle of requirements)
  • Develop Business Process mapping (BPM) – data maps and diagrams
  • Strongcommunicationskills(verbalandwritten)workingwithinternalandexternalclientstodeliverbusinessandfunctionalrequirements.
  • Strongtechnicalskillscoupledwithbusinessintelligencepreferablywith Information Management SystemsandFrameworks.

3. Well developed skills in understanding businessprocessmanagementandbusinessrequirementsofthecustomersandtranslatingthemto specific software requirements or Business transformation outcomes.
4. ExperiencefacilitatingreviewsessionsandworkshopswithbusinessareaandICTstakeholders
5.Abilitytodeterminebusinessprocessesandarticulatedesiredchangestoprocessestomeetbusinessarea'sexpectations.
6. Adisciplinedapproachtoproblemsolvingandanabilitytocriticallyassessarangeofinformationtodifferentiatetruebusinessneedsasopposedtouserrequests.
7.Excellent interpersonal,oral,writtenandvisualdesigncommunicationskills.
DesirableCriteria:
1. Strong understanding of Federal Government Information Management Systems and whole of government policies and strategies
2. Knowledge of system transformation/integration/upgrades particularly in the information management domain.
