General Position Description:
Gosford City FC was established in 1963 and has always enjoyed a rewarding history as a leader in sport within our local community. In recent years, we have achieved successes in many grades throughout our membership and we now seek to take our Club into the future by a positive and progressive plan led by our senior coaching staff. In Year 2018, we are setting a new standard for the senior coaching positions for our Club and require the best in planning and implementation to harness the qualities we have nurtured in preceding years.

NB: Please note that your application will form the basis of your coaching agreement and achievements will be compared with your application proposal.
Experience / Responsibilities / Selection Criteria:
  • Must hold the requisite standard of coaching license for level being applied for (attach certified copy).
  • Demonstrated experience at coaching MPL (Div 1) level, or senior levels of football (PL/Res/otheretc).
  • Demonstrated achievements coaching MPL (Div 1) level, or senior levels of football (PL/Res/other etc).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the structure and role of CentralCoast Football.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant sports science requirements and their application to football,
  • Proposed Coaches implementation plan for season 2018 for BPL, including recruitment, selection, training, fitness, coaching and identified targets for upcoming season – (2017 achievements will be compared with the proposed plan for future appointments beyond 2018).
  • Be responsible for the preparation and delivery of structured a high performance training & development program focused around skills and fitness, for the senior squad.
  • Devised implementation of a junior mentoring program for succession planning of juniors to achieve grade status within Gosford City FC, whether toward MPL.
  • Maintain individual player profiles and records including a register of game & training attendance, conduct issues.
  • Adherence to the GCFCCoaches Code of Conduct, GCFC Constitution and the support to implementand manage the GCFCPlayers Code of Conduct, which will require reporting of non-compliance and referral of any disputes to an Executive Committee Member.
  • Ensure you are a registered member of Gosford City FC.
  • Ensure to act as an example, setting a standard as a leader,acting in a responsible and sportsperson like way at all FNSW, CCF or other games and training sessions.
  • Be responsible for the behaviour of the players during game time or training sessions.
  • Acknowledgement to be ofexceptional character both on and off the field and hold the ability to communicate with players,committee and staff.
  • Identification and appointment of a team manager in consultation with GCFC Executive Committee.
  • Participation and attendance in regular scheduled meetings of GCFC (50% or more).
  • Be responsible for all Club equipment issued to the team.
  • Commence training as soon as practical after grading procedures have ceased.

The Gosford City Football Club will undertake a full review of coaching applications. Applications will be acknowledged in writing. As the applicant, the club requests 30 days to provide a written response with the offer to coach. All coaches granted a position must provide all relevant documentation and satisfy the club regulations prior within 14 days of acceptance letter or positions will be offered to the next candidate.The club retains the right to dismiss a coach if inappropriate behaviour or activities have taken place that does not follow the Club or CCF Codes of Conduct, including adherence to all Gosford City Football Club & CCF Policies.
