GENERAL INFORMATION

1)Sale is by public auction to be held at the time and location listed above. For those who cannot attend, sealed bids are also accepted up to the time of the sale. Please include the 25% deposit, indicate the sale number and parcel number, and write the words "sealed bid" on all envelopes which contain a sealed bid. While sealed bids are accepted, since this is an oral auction, anyone attending the auction may enter a higher bid. It is best to attend the auction.

2)All bidders shall be prepared to deposit twenty five (25) percent of the bid value. Checks are to be made payable to the Marinette County Treasurer. Remaining balance is due in full within ninety days (90) days of the sale date. Failure to provide balance due shall result in the forfeiture of the twenty five (25) percent deposit.

3)No Parcel will be sold for less than the appraised or minimum value listed. Bids for less than the appraised (minimum) value will not be accepted.

4)Marinette County does not provide a survey or access if land is not on a roadway. Acreage listed, in most cases are approximations. Parcels could contain more or less acreage than specified.

5)Marinette County does not warrant title and all conveyances are by quit claim deed.

6) Title to the property remains vested with Marinette County until full payment is made and a quit claim deed is issued.

7)Purchaser is responsible for paying any recording and transfer fees involved in the transaction.

8)Land is sold exclusive of and subject to special assessments levied or in the process of being levied.

9)Detailed maps of most parcels, as noted, are available in the Forestry Department, Third Floor, Courthouse, Marinette.

10) The Committee reserves the right at any time to withdraw any parcel(s) from the sale without advance notice up to the time of the sale.
