THE VALUE WITHIN

Dave Hopkins, Business Engagement Manager, Intellectual Property Office

Thursday 6 July 2017, 18:15 for 18:30

Moore Stephens LLP, Suite 17 Building 6, Croxley Green Business Park, Hatters Lane, Watford, WD18 8YH

89% of accountants said it was important to understand how to protect their Intellectual Property.

The Intellectual Property Office will deliver a seminar highlighting the importance of IP to both an accountancy practice and its clients.

The seminar will offer a brief overview on the elements of IP (trade marks, patents, designs and copyright) and how discussing IP can help your clients to grow their business.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone looking for the latest information and advice on IP - direct from the Intellectual Property Office - at this seminar.

  • Understand the importance of protecting your own and your clients’ livelihoods by recognising the impact of IP such as website ownership, logos and brands.
  • Recognise that the value of IP can often far outweigh the value of the physical assets within a business.
  • Find out and ask questions about how to help your and your clients’ businesses benefit from recognising IP.
  • Be aware of how a Ltd company name may potentially infringe another companies trade mark.

The Intellectual Property Office is responsible for implementing the national framework governing intellectual property rights and for promoting the UK’s interests in the development of the international Intellectual Property Rights system.

Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided and free car parking is available. Enter into Croxley Green Business Park and continue to the end of Hatters Lane. Go straight over the mini roundabout and keep to the right of Building 6. Follow the road round to the left and Suite 17 is located 150m on the left hand side. Please feel free to park in any of the empty spaces near Suite 17.
