Carers Support Group; Zest, Upperthorpe

If you provide unpaid support to a relative or friend who could not manage without your help, you are a carer. The friendly and informal support group at Zest is for carers in Upperthorpe, Netherthorpe, Langsett and Walkley. They meet every other Friday, 10.30 – 12pm for:
  • Activities
  • Mutual support
  • Free one-to-one welfare & benefits advice
  • ‘Let’s Talk About…’ information sessions
The group alternates between having speakers, doing an activity, or just having a good chat!
They also have an advice worker from Age UK once a month, where carers can book a free 30-minute appointment to discuss issues around their benefits, welfare, housing, or any other area they need support on.
The next group takes place on Friday 26 May, 10.30 – 12, with a visit from Healthwatch Sheffield to talk about how new technology can help people stay safe and independent at home.
