Dear Orchestra and Band Directors,

It is time to prepare for Western Regional Senior High Honors Orchestra Auditions. The 2013 WRSHHO Auditions will be held on January 19, 2013 at William A. Hough High School (12420 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC 28031). Please mark your calendars and let your students know the requirements for these auditions. The Western Region Orchestra Clinic will be held at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro on the weekend of March 1-3, 2013.

Please read carefully to avoid future headaches/misunderstandings/late fees/etc…

·  All pre-registration forms must be POSTMARKED by December 19, 2012 ($5/student). Forms postmarked after this date, will be subject to a $10 late registration fee.

·  All Directors must be present for auditions and come prepared to adjudicate. If you are unable to attend, you must send written notification to me no later than 10 days prior to the event. You must also arrange for someone to fulfill your responsibilities at this event. Please make sure the replacement is qualified to adjudicate band or orchestra auditions and a current member of NCMEA.

·  Concessions will be available during auditions so please inform your students to bring money for snacks for the long lines!!

·  Attention all Band Directors – All Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion audition material will be taken from 11/12 NC All State Band List printed in the NCMEA Journal. Students should prepare the entire selection, there will be NO CUTS.
