Dear ODP Player:

Congratulations! You have been selected to the NMYSA 2002Boys Olympic Development Program Pool. This selection was either based on your performance at an ODP Training and Identification Opportunity or by being scouted and recommended by an ODP coach. We hope that you will accept this invitation as it identifies you as one of the top players in this State.

The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program is a national program to identify and develop high-level youth players throughout the country to represent their state association, region and the United States in soccer competition. Only registered US Youth Soccer/NMYSA players can participate in this program. For more information on the program, it’s purpose and benefits, please visit us at and click on ODP.

The pool fee for the year will be $260.00, which includes 10 training sessions, an Adidas training top, two t-shirts, shorts and socks. The pool fee is due no later than October 19th, 2014. If a player is selected to an event roster there will be additional costs. Please note that all pool training session will be at The New Mexico Soccer Tournament Complex in Bernalillo, NM unless otherwise notified.

The head coach for the age group will be James Salazar and his assistant will be Alex Balzis.

Regional Championship and Regional Pool Camp Player Selection

At the conclusion of the December 6th and 7th training weekend, NM ODP staff and coaches will determine how many teams and which players from the NM ODP pool will be selected to participate in the ODP Regional Championships in Phoenix, AZ January 8th – 11th. More information will be provided to the selected players at that time.

Region IV staff will select players to participate in Regional ODP Pool Camp in the summer. Players will be selected from scouting ODP Regional Championships in January, Sub-regional events (TBD), and from ODP State Staff recommendations. Once we are given more details about Regional ODP Pool Camp we will post that information on our website.

Registration/Communication Information

To participate in ODP training sessions and events, you must register for them. To do so, create a user account (if you haven’t already) through our e-ODP system at - select ODP. We communicate all ODP selections, updates and information solely via this electronic system and our website, so it is imperative that you have an e-ODP user account established.

Using your account information, you can then register and pay for events you are invited to. To accept this pool invitation, you must register for the pool event online via the e-ODP system. (Players who are not registered in New Mexico will need to complete 2 additional documents, a Medical Release form as well as an Interstate Permission form. Both need to be completed and mailed to our office before the first session.)

Player Gear Distribution

Gear pickup (for the 01’s and 02’s only) will begin on Wednesday October 15 and Thursday October 16 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM and Friday, October 17th from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM at the NMYSA office located at 2825 Broadbent Parkway NE, Suite D, Albuquerque NM 87107. Players will be able to pay outstanding fees, pick up their gear and submit paperwork if registered outside of New Mexico.

Players living outside of the Albuquerque area may pick up their gear and finalize their registration on the first day of training on Sunday, October 19th at the New Mexico Soccer Tournament Complex in Bernalillo. We strongly advise you to arrive at the soccer complex by 9:00 AM in order to have completed this process before the training session start time of 10:00 AM.

Driving Directions to the NMYSA office are:

Traveling I-25 North: Take the Lomas Exit and travel north on the frontage road. Continue on the frontage road past Lomas then turn left on Menaul. Turn right on Broadbent Parkway. As Broadbent curves to the right, building 2825 will be on the left side. Suite #D’s front door faces west.

Traveling I-25 South: Take the Comanche, Candelaria, Menaul exit and travel south on the frontage road. Go south through Comanche and Candelaria and turn right into the Broadbent Business Park, (before you reach Menual). Building 2825 is the second building on the right and suite #D’s front door faces west.
