Dear Knightingales parents,
I am so excited about everything going on with Knightingales! I wanted to send you some details about upcoming events.
1. We will have an all-day rehearsal on May 3 at Metro, just like we did in December. Please fill out the permission form and return it No Later than April 28th. Do not forget to indicate if you will bring lunch from home or buy lunch. I strongly recommend purchasing a lunch from school if you can. The students can wear whatever they want for rehearsal that day. We will return to school by 2pm. Your child needs to arrive at Metro that night by 6pm. The show starts at 6:30pm. They will wear their navy Knightingales shirt and khaki shorts and NO SHOES for the beginning of the show. They will need to bring their dress/tux and leave them in the dressing area. They will perform at the beginning and end of the program. If they are in 4th grade, they will perform 3 times.
2. We will perform at Shelby County Choral festival at the University of Montevallo on May 10. It is also an excused field trip. They need to come to school dressed in their blue dress and black shoes. No tights. Boys dressed in tux shirt/bowtie and black pants with black shoes. We will depart at 8:10am. Do not be late. Parents are welcome to attend the choral festival. It is at Palmer Hall and begins at 9am. Feel free to attend. Please return the permission slip for this as well by April 28th. You do not owe any money for either field trip. Just return the permission slips.
Please have your child at Knightingales each Thursday morning if possible. We have so much music that we are rehearsing. They are doing an excellent job. I can’t wait for everyone to hear them.
