Dear Haiti Team Applicant:
On January 12, 2010, a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti. ReachGlobalresponded quickly, sharing the love of Christ, creating strategic partnerships, and connecting supplies and medical help with those in need. In the midst of tragedy, the Lord provided hope, relief, and comfort to the survivors.However,there still exists an ongoing need to help the people of Haiti.
Thank you for considering serving the Lord through ReachGlobal’sefforts to be a light to people in need.
In conjunction with ReachGlobal’s Latin America Division, we have set up logistics in Gressier, to the west of Port-au-Prince. We are seeking teams interested in serving in the relational outreachin the wake of the earthquake, doing activities such as medical check-ups, ministering with kids, teaching English as Second Language, playing soccer/sports and/or community recovery and development. Specialized skills such as auto mechanics, personal care and many others are also welcomed.
We ask that team include someone who has Third World ministry experience due to the cross-cultural nature of the ministry. Also Multi-week stays are permissible, with reduced rates for second week.

Please also complete the below application process, because conditions in Haiti are difficult. Note the following:
- We expect that Pastor’s and Elder’s will take full responsibility and give great care in selection of mature, experienced team leadership and healthy, positive team members.
- We expect that teams coming to serve (i.e. all members of the team!) will participate in pre-trip training activities.
Below is the application and acceptance process:
1. Work with your local church pastor to select a point person who will serve as the team leader and single point of contact. We encourage multiple churches from an area to collaborate in sending a multi-church team. This team leader will help organize the necessary paperwork and arrangements.

3. When we have received your application, your team leader will be contacted within 5 working days by a Volunteer Coordinatorto confirm your dates based on current availability.
4. After confirmation, the team leader will receive a team packet, by email, with packing lists and other vital information.The team is required to attend an on-site training the morning of their first work day.
5. Please note in booking travel, teams are to arrive on a Saturday and depart on a Friday.
