We are happy to announce that the online TA job postings system is available for the Fall/Winter 20XX-20XX.If you are planning to post a TA position for 20XX-20XX, please note the new process and important deadlines.

When TAs participate in the programs, they are typically required to perform an initial appointment of 110 or 220 hours of work and are entitled to 5 more subsequent appointments within the hiring department (CUPE 3902-1 article16:06) while they maintain registration in the doctoral program. TA positions may be allocated to Faculty who are teaching largemasters-levelcourses, on-line courses, courses using special technology, methodology courses where there is a laboratory component, or classes where there are other special needs.

Please note that there are a limited number of TA positions available so we cannot guarantee that your position will be accepted. Also, all TA Positions must be posted every year. You may re-post a position if you have already posted it in previous years.

TAs are in mentored role and as such, in the graduate program they are not to assume sole responsibility for an instructor's classes, nor assume sole responsibility for grading or assessing candidate work.A list of Typical Duties include:

- preparing course resources

- facilitating class discussion

- monitoring group activities

- teaching portions of a class or classes

- meeting and advising individual students

- e-mail conferencing with students, as a class or individually

- assisting with the organization and delivery of a course/program
