Dear ALPA/APLA Participant

Dear ALPA/APLA attendee,

Hard copies of the final program/abstracts will be available in limited quantity at the conference.

Urgent Request: we need to know who is planning to attend the banquet on Saturday evening. If we don't have an estimate of those interested parties, then we run the risk of not being able to hold a banquet this year. Please let us know ASAP if you would like to go.

(2) The venue is the Business Administration Building at Memorial University. Details and map of the campus are available on the webpage. The Business building is #28 on the campus map, just off Morrissey Drive.

The conference will run parallel sessions in two rooms located off of the Business Administration atrium. A laptop with wireless access will be made available for attendees of the conference. Refreshments and a light snack will be served at coffee breaks throughout the conference. For lunch, the closest food court is found in the University Centre – home of all the campus' fast-food restaurants.

(3) The registration desk will be open Friday from 12:30 to 17:00 and Saturday from 8:30 to 11:00. You may pay your registration and APLA membership fees in cash or by credit card. Registration packages will be distributed at the desk to all paying attendees.

(4) For presenters, the maximum talk time is 20 minutes with 10 minutes for questions. Chairs and speakers are asked to strictly adhere to the schedule.

(5) Volunteers will be wearing conference name tags with a small red dot in the upper corner. They can answer any conference/venue questions or will be able to find someone who can.

(6) If you are commuting to conference venue via the Metrobus system please check the schedule for your route. You can get information on the Metrobus website:

The fare is $2.25.

(7) The best way to get from the airport into the city is to grab one of the cabs waiting outside the front doors. All cabs are metered fare.
