The company has recently invested in “state of the art” digital pen technology to automate the recording and transmission of treatment reports completed by their service technicians.“In a competitive environment where data quality is more and more important,” said Charles Murahwa, Technical and Operations Director for Intercleanse Pest Control, “we looked for a cost-effective way of updating our system with accurate and reliable information in close to real time. We also wanted to be able to give our clients the facility to access up-to-the-minute site data at any time.”

Technicianswrite out their treatment forms, using digital pens and paper. They then simply tick a box on the form to transmit the report via Bluetooth to their mobile devices and then on to secure servers, where their handwriting is converted into a pdf text version and an xml data file. They can also take photos of any hygiene issues and treatments and attach them to the reports they send.

After attending the Manor Royal Business Group meeting Charles Murahwa commented “As a small company based in Manor Royal, I welcome the setting up of the group and the objectives of the group as this will offer small businesses like ours a chance to work with bigger companies based in the estate. We will offer a free no obligation survey to businesses in Manor Royal, with a view at offering a more cost effective service. The more businesses we service in Manor Royal, the lower the costs – cost savings that can be passed on to the customer.”-ENDS-
