This was a great experience. I got to a point, where I had to commit to buying into this and staying in a little town forever, or trying to pick rejoin with family and try

Hannaford Supermarkets2009 - 2010

Night Manger

In the height of the recession, I graduated with a freshly minted MBA and accompanying student loans. I was an excellent can stacker, until the property search was done ,and I started construction on my restaurant with my team.

USM - University of Southern Maine2007 - 2008

Full Time MBA Student

TGIFriday’s2005 - 2007

Progressive management promotions, and a promise of a new store brought me to Sanford Maine. I had worked for the concept during my undergraduate years as an hourly employee.

This was an excellent place to learn the basics of restaurants. The ‘theories’ that they used for training and customer service span industries and are used today. They also were great at teaching a base of knowledge

Investment Experience:

Fleet Bank/Bank of America2003 - 2005

I took a chance going out of the cubicle, and into the bank channel as a commission based registered representative.

I had both both a Series 7/63 and Insurance Licenses in Maine, Rhode Island, and Florida.

The product line was expensive and the service model was not one I was comfortable with, so I was not able to find a good fit often enough to make quotas.

Fidelity Investments2001- 2003

I worked at Fidelity Investments in their retail mutual funds division with a Series 7. and 63. The service model, was great, but the compensation model followed their low cost, commoditized structure. Although I did not remain there long, my experience with them, is why I still recommend people to them today. It was an excellent place to learn the basics of investments and investing. Very similar to my employment at TGIFriday’s, it was an organization, that was very big on teaching the fundamentals.
