2016 FBLA STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
DATE AND LOCATION
The 2016 State Leadership Conference will be held on Monday, April 4 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resorts in Cromwell. We will leave Southington High School at 7:00 a.m. and travel by bus to this conference. The conference will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. We will travel back to SHS as a group and return by 4:00 p.m. Attendance at this conference is limited and sign up for events will be taken on a “first-come, first-serve” basis You can prepare for this conference by going to the National FBLA website: fbla-pbl.org and by asking your business teacher for help. Additional information can be found on the CT FBLA website, www.ctfbla.com.
EVENTS
A complete list of the events offered at this conference can be found Ms. Davey’s school website. You cannot enter an event that you previously competed in at a State Leadership Conference.
CONFERENCE FEE
The fee charged for each conference attendee will be $60. If you worked at basketball games, $10 per game will be deducted from your conference fee. If you attend the January 29 Economics Teaching Lesson at Strong School, $20 will be deducted from your conference fee. Please see Ms. Davey for details.
DRESS CODE
There is a dress code for this conference. I will give you a copy when I hand out the permission slips for this conference.
MEALS
A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and a luncheon will be served at 11:30.
BACKPACKS
Please leave the backpacks at home.

If you want to attend this conference, you must sign up by Thursday, January 28. Use the attached sheet to sign-up. Money must be paid by that date.
