PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DATAFLOW AWARDED NYSED CONTRACT

September 5, 2007 – Binghamton, NY – Dataflow, Inc. a leading document management and digital printing firm in Upstate New York, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to provide a web-based plan review and document management system through March 31, 2012. The contract will reduce costs and improve turnaround times when NYSED reviews and approves plans submitted by Architects and Engineers for all capital construction involving buildings owned or operated by New York State School Districts or Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).

Dataflow Partner Julie McCormick notes that “the cost savings and improved turnaround times that will be achieved by Dataflow are no small matter: NYSED was responsible for an average of over $2.5 billion of construction over each of the five past years. And lower costs translate into lower tax bills. As a local company Dataflow employees are parents with children in the school system, and also New York State taxpayers. We are proud to be a part of this project”.

NYSED’s reviews are carried out as part of its enforcement of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, which leads to a building permit for schools and school administration buildings. Dataflow’s web-based document management system will replace the current paper document submission and review system with an online paperless environment. McCormick adds: “it will also allow school districts the option of using Dataflow’s state-of-the-art Electronic Internet Plan Room Bidding Service in lieu of printed bidding, for further savings in printing and shipping”.

Dataflow’s system will be available 24-hours/day/7 days/week, and 365 days/year. It will provide an electronic record of the history of the project from inception through completion. School Districts will benefit by cost reductions in printing for NYSED reviewing and contractor bidding, from the eventual elimination of shipping costs, and improved turnaround times through less hard-copy document handling for NYSED, the school districts, and A/E firms. Dataflow’s system will also reduce the required storage area at NYSED for pre-and post-review documents.
